This guy seems like the most normal, humble guy and he just happens to be the drummer for one of the biggest rock bands of all time. RIP Charlie.

Saw the Stones around 20 times. Charlie always got the loudest and longest ovation. I swear we did it to embarrass him. And because we loved him dearly. Rest In Peace Mr. Charlie Watts.

I always liked Charlie the best; quiet, unassuming, modest, decent guy. He was the anchor and we will sorely miss him. God love him.

Love the way Charlie answers simply, 'Yeah!' to that final question. Modest and self-effacing, but also not a man to be messed around! Great drummer, lovely human being. Pure class!

We knew this day would eventually come, but silently hoped it never would. The man is gone but his legacy lives on.
R.I.P. Charlie. Thanks for the memories and the music.

Charlie and Ringo inspired me to play drums as a teen. I’m 68 and still playing.
Thanks Charlie, you will be missed.

The more I hear Charlie's points of view the more I love him. Such a kind and gentle soul. My favorite drummer. He passing has really affected me personally. RiP Charlie 🙏

Charlie Watts was never the most flashy drummer. He wasn't known for the frenzied solos of Cream's Ginger Baker, or for placing explosives in his kick drum like The Who's Keith Moon. Instead, he was the subtle, stoic heartbeat of The Rolling Stones for almost 60 years. We all Brazil fans will miss Charlie. RIP 🇧🇷

Unquestionably, one of the greatest drummers and solid timekeepers the world of rock has ever witnessed. A wonderfully gracious man as well as a true English gentleman. He will be sorely missed on both accounts. RIP Charlie, I would love to meet you when my time's up. Bert Burgess

I loved Charlie watts wisdom, honesty, and straight up. He loves playing in the band, and knows that’s his profession. What a good hearted man. And stayed that way with all the craziness that band went through. Rest in peace, steady

That story about Charlie punching Mick in the face is one of the greatest in all of rock n' roll. Mick may have been the best frontman in the world but Charlie was not to be f*cked with.

Even when he has to show Mick a little "tough love", he is so humble. I'm certain Charlie helped keep the Stones Grounded. Playing the way they did, being a popular as they were, it would be hard to stay humble or grounded. Thank you Charlie for not only your most excellent drumming, but for keeping the band grounded. RIP beautiful one.
