I just purchased a knot book, with over 150 knots. I will be referring to your station, that I have subscribed to, for a practical video for each, as I definitely need to see it done, in real time. Thank you.

I remember learning the noose knot for decorative Halloween shoelaces one year. Took me a long time to learn what was so scary about that knot.

In place of the reef knot I world recommend the zeppelin bend. Its perfectly symmetrical, easy to tie, and very easy to untie, even after heavy loading. Recommended for ropes of same diameter. I love it.

Excellent, thank you! Used a series of clove hitches to put cloths line in the basement. Much more efficient than my previous method.

5 of these knots i found in a really old survival book. sheet bend is definitely my favorite. the reef knot is good for getting 2 pieces of rope together when they are the same, but the sheet bend is useful for attaching 2 different diameters of rope together

After the Bowline, the Package Loop is the most useful knot I have found. They teach it in SERE training.

I use knots daily.. Bushcrafting.. Hiking.. Kayak.. I knew all these knots but found the 2nd way of certain ones useful

My teacher got mad for learning the Noose Knot. She's the one that suggested this video and asked us to do 4 of the knots...

You should have put the constrictor knot after the clove hitch, just an idea.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever taught adjustables knots? I'm looking for these kind of knots because I need to stand clothes to dry or to adjust the height of the hammock in a tree when I'm camping... I hope you get what I mean. Best wishes from your Brazilian fan!!! Your channel is the best I've ever seen. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Good list. I’d include the Constrictor knot in place of the noose, though. Far more useful.

Sheet bend advantage is that it can be tied under tension...like when your guy line is too short, on cold windy night, you can hold the side with the bight steady and complete the knot one handed, hence lengthening the guy line. Also works well when both lines are the same diameter.

Pulling line at work, once we have the lines we are pulling rigged we tie the end of the pull line to the rigging. I use a knot similar to the double sheet bend, but instead of passing under on the second wrap I pass the working end threw the bite in the orange rope in your case. Kind of looks like a mix of a sheet bend and a square knot.
