Can we know God? If so, how? We can we believe in God. But is such belief justified? How to apply the principles of epistemology to knowledge of God and belief in God? What would make belief in God justified true belief?

I like Robert's argument that one can accept that someone has had an experience that they cannot fully articulate to the satisfaction of his or her audience. Jesus said "by their fruits you will know them", as an analogy to compliment the point, I think the character of a person will help the persuasiveness or lack thereof of their claim. Also to cite Robert Audi, the person may also have four or so other arguments to buttress their point. Thus, their experience, suitability of their lifestyle and cumulative arguments strengthen the rationality of their case.

Most of Abrahamic Scriptures pointed though our self, there is some specification About God, the Closest clue are is in us.
So everything can be related to our Consciousness, and then Freewill, that is the reason why we here.

A man who has journeyed to the end of himself, and when he looks beyond, he sees God. He either has requited belief or a strong will. But at this point, the evidence is overwhelming.

Great many possibilities, starting from, hope, to knowledge, to cognitive deduction, inference, and showing mastery in pondering the arguments of existence of God, eventually leading to ultimate end point of certainty in faith. This is quite a journey in itself. In islam the epistemically knowledge of God is a pre requisite to having faith and practice of worship, as it’s impossible for human heart and mind to worship an entity without knowing Him.

In the knee/barometer example the person understands the content of what they know (it’s going to rain) even though it’s unjustified. whereas in the case of God it’s not clear unless one makes explicit to oneself what one believes in when they say “god, ” whether justified or not. There are responses to this but I’m just saying the issue is very subtle.

If I would be the only one seeing colors with all others being color blind everyone would tell me that seeing colors is a belief.

I am waiting in suspense for responses that accuse Audi of indulging in 'word salads', nonsense and 'bull subjects' But how easy and intellectually lazy abuse is compared with rational counter-argument.

Those of us who know God have heard his voice speaking directly into our minds and forcing us to obey commands until we're used as servants to testify to the hidden knowledge about how we're created in the thoughts of our Creator. The one typing this sentence is the last servant used to testify to this knowledge. I have known the voice of God since December 6th, 1979 and it took obeying many commands before God took complete control of my mind and body to testify in writing and speaking the words that are necessary to obtain this knowledge along with observing visions, dreams and hearing the voice speak analogies ( parables ) to get us to understand everything he wanted us to know before this temporary generation of Life ends.

But then, why the god of the bible? Don't the same arguments hold to other gods?

lol. sensus divinitatus = inborn tendency of humans to imagine agency where there is none, plus tendency to make up stories to fill in gaps of knowledge.

So the final step, the one of "epistemological knowledge" is where fundamentalism and associated violence begins.

This guy has spent his entire series trying to convince viewers that an intelligent mind did not create the universe. He is just polite about it.

Epistemology and theology are incompatible. Understanding the multiverse through epistemology is essential to progress and innovation. Theology is inherently dehumanizing and permanently pessimistic.
