This Is The World's Smartest Fish And We're Diving With It!

This is why you need to go scuba diving! Manta rays are one of my favorite animals to see while diving. They're so graceful, friendly, and smart! They have the largest brain-to-weight ratio of any fish. Some of the giant manta rays can grow up to 29 feet and weigh as much as a car!

😍🐠 While we were on the floor of the ocean, the one manta kept circling right over Hud! I can't believe how close it got at one point to his head. One of the coolest feelings is when you are looking at one manta and then notice a shadow blocking the sun and look up to see another manta right above you! They are so smooth and friendly! Possibly my favorite animal to swim with! (Although whale sharks, dolphins, and sea lions are up there as well. Hud said I should add bull sharks and hammerheads to my list, but I personally like the cute looking animals a little more. 😂)

❤️ Palau is an incredible "off-the-beaten-path" country to visit! In the 188 countries we've visited, we've now gotten to swim with Manta Rays in 5 different areas and this was one of our favorites! The country of Palau in the Pacific Islands may be small, but it is so beautiful! Not only does it have some of the best diving in the Pacific Islands, but even if you don't dive, it has some of the most beautiful scenic islands in the world!
