Galaxy Fold 3 Screen Problems Part 2

An update based on viewer comments about the Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 screen protector air bubble issues that lead to screen failure. Viewer feedback shows this is a bigger problem than Samsung admits to.

If you see the air bubbles form, then get to a store immediately for a quick replacement of the screen protector.

These issues may also appear in the flip and fold 4 series as well.

The same issue occurred with my Samsung Galaxy Fold 4. However, the manufacturer declined to repair the device, asserting that it was due to user error. I explained to them that the problem was actually caused by the screen protector. When I opened the phone, I noticed that the screen protector had grabbed onto the screen, leaving an ink line down the center of the screen. If you observe your screen protector lifting, it is crucial to stop opening the phone and have it replaced immediately.

I must admit that if you don't have Samsung Care Plus, you're left to handle the situation by yourself. Samsung is aware that this defect is caused by their screen protector, but they don't appear to prioritize customer satisfaction. This experience has given me insight into why many individuals have switched to Apple. It's undeniably frustrating, but unfortunately, that seems to be the reality.

Soonest you see the screen protector wirh bubble immediately take out and remplace with another one cause over the time the air in those bubble will make pressure once you fold the phone and that is when the damage occurs.

The screen just isn't ready. I think they need to drop the UTG as that appears to be a big factor in the death of the screen in the middle. There's a tiny crack up the crease once it eventually dies, it's noticeable under macro lens or in direct sunlight at the right angle. Getting to the complaints team got me a free repair

I had my screen protector replaced by Samsung Service center for free (just once) last week. Mine seems to become brittle. Making "cracking" noise when closed. Basically de-laminating itself.
Honestly I'm NOT buying the idea of air bubble between the screen protector build up pressure and cracked the screen. If that was A TRUE case, your S-pen would have created bigger pressure on the screen when writing; why isn't it cracking the screen then?

People need to know the screen protector had to be changed when bubbles appeared, not continue to use it until it breaks

I had the fold 3 from launch and inner screen failed after a year, I sent my phone off for inspection and they claimed the warranty was void due to any other damage on the phone, even if its a scratch.
There is a class action lawsuit in USA and potentially the same in Poland regarding the inner screen, I'm looking at what can be done in the UK as a collective, as an individual samsung just fob you off.
I've been a Samsung user for over 10 years, I'll be looking elsewhere from now on. Terrible customer service policy.

Pienso que lo que tienes que hacer es reemplazar el protector de pantalla grande cuando inicien las burbujas de aire, yo tengo el samsun Fold 3 5g, de 512gb Rom y 12 gb de ram, procesador snapdragon, cambie el protector y la pantalla está bien aún.

my fold 2 also same issue, the cause is there is crack in the screen protector, and somehow if you still use it for sometimes, the crack will become wider and if you touch the crack point, your screen will definetly damage due to cracked glass, in term of quality maybe the screen need better protection.

samsungs custommer care is horrible and they should be reported. 4 month battle with them with my s22 ultra and they finally agreed that there is an issue with the phone and replaced it with a new one....but not in the colour I originally purchased

After 7 months of use my Fold 4 screen cracked just by opening it. Black line right down the seam. Couple more opens and it went black. I bought the 2 year Samsung care which worked fine. Mailed it away and got it back 4 business days later all fixed. Actually better than new. Like many report, out of the box the Fold 4 made a crunching noise when you open it. Mine did that out of the box. So does another person's I know. Well the new screen doesn't make that noise. It's perfectly silent and actually feels more firm when fully open. I don't know if Samsung improved the screen since launch or if it's a better installation, but it feels and sounds better than new now. Hope to get a lot more folds out of it as I love the phone but it has to last years for the price.

My wife's 15 month old Z fold 3 5G did this EXACT SAME THING!!! Just called Samsung and they no will "let" you trade that phone in on a new one....but the repair would be over 400 bucks. No thanks Samsung!!

Yes I too had it. The matter was escalated thru Twitter and got the solution free. And just in six month's time same problem resurfaced.

I've been told to always get Samsung care plus for the affordables definitely taking that in the heart with the fold 5

Do you reckon also temperatures as in climates depending on where you live affect over time? Maybe bubbles and cracks if you live in colder area. maybe?

Hey guys, happy new year to you all.

My Samsung fold 5g, (Left half) of the inner screen light went off, I means exact half of it, while the right light of the inner screen is on wen open the screen, but the whole full screen still torching, I have to be rotating it round to enable me see what am doin on the screen.. Please someone should please advice me on what to do. does this need for me to change the inner screen completely??? I feel lik since it's the back half light that went off, could it be something else from the panel? won't it be the same if i change the whole inner screen?. Rgd Engr Segun

thats too bad.... iv used my Fold 3 for a yr now with no problems or issues and just did the upgrade to the fold 4 that will be here In 3 days Wed the 4 cost me 670.00 after trade in and discounts from Samsung. Good luck

Thick ass plastic screen protector. just horrible. very disappointing. has happened to my fold 3. just over a year in when it started to bubble. who knew a screen protector would damage my screen. 800 cad to replace. my care+ expired two months before the bubbles started. now i have a lovely black bar down the middle of the screen. so either take the screen protector off right away or get that thing fixed right away if you have care+. for me, i will take it off if my coverage has expired.

Have insurance said my z fold 3 had a tiny black dot at the top they replaced it 😅

so tell me guys..its better to just remove the screen protector rather than wait to peel off and sands get in..right?
