Anyone with a good dad or father figure feels this song to the core

Singer Ronnie McDowell once said " Conway Twitty was the best friend a song ever had"...he could make any song he recorded a hit.

This is why I love country music, story telling and always has a lesson behind songs.

Our Dad is gone, I will be a 70-year-old man this year, and I miss him and yes at 70 I still cry when I think about him. I love YOU DAD!

I lost my Daddy in 2013 to brain and lung cancer i am a Daddy's girl. He taught me lots of things but he never taught me how to live without him. Not a day goes by that i don't miss and love my Daddy. Awesome reaction. love to you both from the one and only Memphis Tn.

CanNOT make it through this one without crying!! OMG!! Such a tender song and with Conway Twitty's vocals and story-telling abilities: AWESOME! I like that the last verse is his payback to HIS Dad...Miss my Daddy, every day, and he's been gone 15 years, now. The hole never fills.... GREAT REACTION, YOU-GUYS!!! :) ❤❤❤❤❤

I lost my dad 5-4-23 an this was the last song we played while they shut the casket. 1 memory i have is 16yrs ago i moved to Michigan from NY an i called him like 6mnth later an he was right out that door to come move me right back. I will always think of him coming to rescuing me an saying im your dad, thats my job when it doesnt work out. I had the honor to be his caretaker an even though i lost my mama 8mnth before him, i went from being her caretaker right into being hism. I love you an miss you so much daddy. I will always be your lil girl. Rih Edward Cleavland Sr

One of my all time favorite Conway Twitty songs. Story telling at its best with no auto tune and straight from the heart.

I was daddy's little girl and the youngest of 6 kids, PLUS the only girl. My dad taught me everything I knew...except how to live without him. His death tore me apart. I didn't think I could, or wanted to live without him. I was devastated for soo long. This song reminded me of him and I knew my dad DID HIS JOB!

That’s what DADDY’S do!!! My step-daddy chose to be my daddy at 7-1/2 years old. I was blessed to be his caregiver during his last days on this earth. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I always liked this song, but it really hit me hard after my boys were born. The songs "Little Folks" by The Charlie Daniels Band and "Daddy's Little Man" by Shenandoah are also like this and are tear jerkers. I just discovered your channel today and I love your reactions. New sub !

Shawn and Mel, first time I've seen your videos. Great job. This song reminds us that we need to take the time to give our children a hug. Tell them they mean a lot to us. And that above all we love them. Things like this will stick with them into adulthood. Love your shoutout to Dads. We need that little encouragement every now and then. Thank you!

Dads tend to struggle alone at times because we have to be strong for our families. If we seem like we need alone time it's because we need to regroup a little. We will make it out the other side and be ok though.
