In the 60s I worked on two huge ammo dump destruction incidents in VietNam. One in Danang, and one a bit further north in Dong Ha. What a nightmare it was being an EOD Specialist during those operations. I remember being fascinated by the fact that many 2.75 inch rockets took off from their storage revetments and flew all over the place. Several hitting and penetrating the cases of 500 pound GMP bombs without detonating either the bomb or rocket warheads. Munitions were scattered all over many acres both inside and outside of the dump. Our biggest worry were all the "ICMs" scattered everywhere. I was 30 years old then and now at 85 the memories are as fresh as they ever were when I see these photographs.

For every airframe that Russia loses, the remainder have to work that little bit harder.

I love your sense of humor, Suchomimus! :-)

Excellent, according to Oryx, 32 Su-34s have been now disposed of so far.

Hey Ruzzia, what will you do if the capacity of the Ukrainians' long-range drones increases tenfold, as has already happened with FPV drones?

That ammunition dump has minor damage, , they will send it to the submarine repair shop, , quick fix

This is how to avoid getting shot down by F16.

The aircraft with the impact at the rear is clearly askew and the elevator appears damaged

At 2:30, I think the upper group of buildings is part of the MT section, where all of the vehicles used around the airbase are maintained. The lower fenced compound with the buildings with a hole in the roof looks similar to other Russian airbases where weapons are assembled and prepared prior to fitting on the aircraft. Hence the security fence around it.

Marvellous. The gift that keeps on giving.

Some of the glide bombs being used against Ukraine are 3, 000KG ones, which do damage out to 250 metres. A drone strike probably only has to hit *one* of these for other munitions anywhere nearby to detonate in sympathy. For this reason, I think the two repair hangars may have been damaged by falling concrete rather than falling munitions, which would have detonated on the way upwards.

That falling debris hitting the hangers is very consistent in its impact location!

1:35 the jet at the top is lying on its side like half its landing gear collapsed.
The pink marker is too far to the left side, over a grass fire, the impact was at the other side.
The jet's right side tail fin and wing appear sheared off.

The "demilitarization" of a sukoi at a ru military air base is just a consequence of a larger issue:
What Da "*" these S-300, S-400 are good for? Propaganda pamphlets at tradeshows I guess.

There it is, knew it was coming. In reliable fashion Suchomimus, I knew I'd be seeing more here, and of course I did.

The second showing is always so telling. Your studious, and diligent approach to battlefield forensics is historic, and legendary.

Excellent reports are stacking beautifully my friend, thanks again.

I’m always amazed at the uploaders who put a watermark right smack dab in the middle so you can’t see anything. I’m fine with watermarks but the point is to still be able to see the important stuff!

Nice one. I knew you get better image, the first one was badly distorted and low quality.
