Being in an area constantly under attack you would think they would take more precautions. But this is about what we expect from Russia today.

The main problem with sort of after mission debrief is that the Russians are now very experienced at clean up operations so as to disguise what damage has been done. One day when this is all over we may eventually find out that we grossly underestimated Russian loses because the evidence was erased.

I think we shouldn't forget to link the attacks on oil refineries forcing Russia to move more Air Defenses (S300 etc) towards these industries. This left holes in the defense of airfields and such. russia Hasn't enough resources left to do defend all. Great tactic!

Maintenance, there are two spots for engine running in the lower right of the area. These have concrete behind where the jets were to prevent fires when running the engines above flight idle. Charles

I don't like to be 'That Guy' that points out the obvious. But with little putin hiding all his equipment in different places & how desperate he is. We should have suspected Su-34s in tents. He hides his ships in far away ports like Novorossiysk, Havana & underwater. His bombers under old tractor tires. And his new motorcycle corps under outhouses. I suspect, when the time comes, we can look for Pooter himself under any good sized rock. ~ Actually, I like being 'That Guy' ~

The workshop was an inflatable structure. That means "raising the tent" means hooking up a couple small blowers, sealing the openings, and letting the structure fill with over pressure air. Double wall with the inflation air between would allow for opening the front door. It might not do so well in a wind storm, though.
