Took a Building Wealth course my senior year of high school, Dave’s videos and ideas were featured prominently. And I swear by his advice because he has practical, simple methods that anyone can learn from and do well.

We had a guest speaker from a very prestigious law firm come to give a talk to our law class. Someone asked how he dealt with the risk arising from being in a large partnership under which he would be liable for the acts of his partners. When the question was asked, he had his backed turned and was writing something on the board. He stopped writing and slowly turned around with the biggest grin on his face and said im just a poor lawyer with a very wealthy wife.

The equity draws for the firm he was a partner for were in excess of $1million a year per partner.

Ramsey and other big real estate people dont "own their home"...they rent from a company they own. Tax benefits.. I'll look into it at some point 🤔

This is very state specific. A lot of people would be far worse off with their home in an LLC. And with cars, the extra money you will be paying in commercial insurance because of the LLC ownership is likely not worth the risk reduction unless you are a car collector with a lot of expensive cars you do not drive. On top of all of this, you can't use an LLC purely for the purpose of avoiding liability. A lot of courts do not like to see that and will disregard the LLC status.

Very wise move. Not sure of the pro con of using a trust for the home or an LLC, but that would make for a good short succinct video. LLCs are great, because once insurance is blown through in a lawsuit it is what is held by the LLC is at risk. We use them for all our real estate holdings.
