Tensor G2 is improved chipset from Tenson G1 chip . Also Chip size of G2 is smaller than G1 .So G2 has early advantages in Battery. so definitely 7a give better battery life . But 6A pushed up battery to good one .

I have a pixel 4a 5g phone.Its idle drain is about 5 to 7% per hour.That means over night it loses about 30% of battery.
