While there is truth in this I think it is important to clarify that the 7 book deutorocanonical/apocrypha were not officially ratified in the Catholic canon until the council of Trent as a response to Protestant theology. Before then you could either accept them or deny them as canon scripture, which several cardinals denied them leading up to the council of Trent.

if we are taught that greed, pride and earthly riches are sin then why are Catholic Churches cladded in golden splendour? If we are taught to not idolise false prophets why are pictures of Pope Francis on walls in homes next to Jesus. Catholics state they don’t worship Mary yet she is incorporated in prayer and alters and is hailed as a saint. They ascend humans as holy direct channels to Christ and call them father which is blasphemous. I see so many falsehoods that go directly against what is taught and I don’t understand how Christianity has split to Catholic and Protestant when the word of God is concise in what is right and wrong regarding worship and practice.

I think if anybody wants to at least get some idea of the rightful canonicity of the Deuterocanon they can begin with the prophesy for Christ in the book of Wisdom chapter 2, which we can prove was written before Christ.

Another point to make is that God's word did not cease during the second temple era. To assume it did is to ignore ideas that cropped up in the New Testament concerning our cloud of witnesses and other such concepts.

All due respect, Father, but the “reformers” (really revolutionaries) removed those books from the OT because those books proved too many Catholic Doctrines-most notably the truth of Purgatory. They also added to the NT as well, in direct violation of Scripture.

The apocrypha. They were left out because they’re not consistent with God’s character. That’s why they are left out.

What's ironic is that Luther questioned papal authority, but no one pope dictated the canon. Several councils were called to debate what was canonical. Martin Luther by rejecting the deurocannonical, used more authority than any pope ever did.

The protestants didnt remove them, the catholics added them. From the earlieat times a distinction was made between these books and the Jewish Tanakh. The early church fathers did not recognise them as canonical, but viewed them as edifying to read. Thats why they were called "deuterocanonical". The council of Trent basically removed a distinction that existed for hundreds of years.

Yes, they are part of the word of God however, Jesus came and fulfill the law so now we need to live by the new testament

Correction, Protestant bibles are different. Catholics didn’t take seven books out of the Old Testament.

If you were trying to convey protestant thought on the apocrypha, you didn't convey it well. As a protestant pastor who loves church history, I have never read or heard of "too much greek thought" being the reason why the apocrypha is not considered canon.

And it has an encryption within that could only have been put their by God.
