I know of another variation of her tale: When Yuki Onna visits a house during a snowstorm, she will ask the resident for a drink, but if you give her water, she will kill you. The way to survive is by giving her a hot cup of tea.

My older brother lives in Japan (And we often meet him) He said that at winter he was lost in a snowstorm and he saw a woman standing beside a tree that looked just like Yuki-onna. He barely made it out alive but he had a cold. He also recorded that moment so when it was posted in diffrent social medias, the video went viral!

A different legend of yuki onna is a legend showing another side of her. It's about a really nice and kind hearted man who got fooled by her and she made him carry her in a barrel all the way through the mountains. He was so nice and never complained. Because of his pure heart warmness, yuki onna melted and all he found in the barrel was snow.
