You were FOOLED ABOUT HEARTS in Tears of the Kingdom…

Tears of the Kingdom has loads more content than Breath of the Wild, which is really crazy considering the amount of content in Breath of the Wild, but here is something I noticed you all say about hearts!

I am really hoping the empty space is the hearts that will come in dlc

For those that didn't catch the number of hearts during the comparison and don't wanna watch a whole new loop.
The start has 30 hearts (the max in botw but impossible with maxed stam in botw) and totk's max with max stam is 38

In BoTW the max hearts were lower than in ToTK. In the beginning we have max hearts from BoTW but now we've gained some past the original max. You can see it in the clip you showed. The top row is longer in the later clip.

Another cool fact, you obtain 7 hearts from quests in the game, 5 from obtaining each of the sages, one from the phantom Ganon fight in the castle, and one from restoring the bargained statue under the central mine

in the intro of the game, you could see Link with 30 hearts and 3 stamina wheels which is impossible to do in BOTW unless you use the Apparatus glitch, this means that TOTK Link canonically used this glitch in his BOTW journey.

I'm pretty sure the reason you have 2 extra heart slots is so you have somewhere to put temporary hearts. It just makes sense for there to be two in BOTH games.

Max hearts in botw was 30. In totk, if you decide to max out your hearts, your number will be 40. But you won't have max stamina. This is what he meant.

Guys, the “missing” hearts are so you can still get some bonus hearts from food. It was that way in BotW too, even with its two expansions. Yes, they could’ve just not capped the bonus hearts there, but this is Nintendo.

Links missing 2 hearts because while he’s got almost max hearts and stamina and cured himself he’s still got his arm which means that he can never get 2 more because of his arm.
