I love the symbolism during the flashbacks, how only one of Emmet and Ingo's eyes are visible, and it's always the opposite eye to one another, showing how they complete each other, like true twins with an unshakable, brotherly bond, but when it cuts to Emmet alone on the subway, his eyes aren't visible at all, showing that not only did he lose his brother, but a large part of himself as well, it's that attention to detail that really drives that stake in deeper through my heart

I love how Game Freak was probably like, “Yeah let’s also have someone transport back to the past, like uhh idk Ingo the train guy”

I just realized that associating Emmet with down arrow and Ingo with up arrow actually fits given their usual expression: cheerful Emmet's down arrow represents his smile, while serious Ingo's up arrow represents his frown.

The sounds at the start, it sounds like Emmet is breathing
Ingo’s side of the room is very neat and untouched
The flowers on Ingo’s bed
The triangles on both Ingo and Emmet’s beds and towels
The two sinks, one clearly unused in a while

As an identical twin, I really felt this animation. I genuinely wouldn’t know what to do with myself if my twin vanished all of a sudden.

Volo is an essential character for Emmet's twisted turn. Ingo's name in Japanese is Nobori while Emmet is Kudari. Nobori means "to climb" or "uphill" while Kudari is "descend" or "downwards". While Nobori/Ingo is having an uphill battle with time and memories, Emmet on the other hand.... is spiraling downwards...

I'd like to think that It isn't Ingo who will get rescued but rather Emmet is the one going to be rescued by Ingo when he goes back in time... Because the time Ingo is sent back into the present, it will be the opposite where Emmet is gone and had become twisted, his hatred for Arceus has engulfed him which drove him to traverse in many worlds via wormholes looking for Ingo, crushing those who stands in his way.

i dont know much about submas but the animation was really doing a good job to tell a story! it was so sad and so beautiful, i love it so much!

HOLY SHIT??? THIS FEELS LIKE AN ACTUAL MOVIE TRAILER MY GOD-

This is honestly so fucking fantastic and makes me so happy as both a film student and submas fan. The pacing, the visual storytelling, the tonal shifts, the art and animation itself- All absoloutley FANTASTIC! The soft, lineless style is gorgeus, and feels so cheerie when compared to the actual events depicted, really adding to the sad and almost nostaligic tone. Not to mention the bit with Ingo from Emmet's perspective? Showing how much he loves and misses his brother? Exquisite.

ALSO ALL THE DIFFERENT FRAMINGS AND THE MATCH SHOTS- I am going apeshit. Were it not 5am I would be screaming right now. Absolutely stunning job.

Honestly, as someone who does not know the full-lore for Pokemon: Arceus Legends, this feels like a legitimate trailer. Like, if you told me this was made by Gamefreak themselves, I’d believe you. The sound design is amazing, especially at the start where everything feels so desolate and alone… And then the piano and violin music kicks in and just… Sends you to another world. I personally really like the composition for the time-travel shots and Ingo’s disappearance. I love how peaceful everything feels, but you can still feel that small creeping of grief and dread from Emmet. I also like how it introduces each character, again, I don’t know the full lore of Arceus Legends, but just from the video alone I can figure out what Emmet’s relationship with each character is.

Video is great at a fan-project, but also great as a way to get a stranger interested! Or even a real game trailer!.

The colors, the characters, Emmet’s change of clothing, the character expressions, the music choice, the shot composition, the camera angles, all the little details that I can’t wait to see more and more of every time I watch the video over and over again!!! I hope Ingo and Emmet are reunited eventually, like for instance it would be interesting if Emmet showed up in Scarlet and Violet looking for clues on Ingo's whereabouts, perhaps having found a clue previously that revealed he'd gone back in time and going to the new region because he heard about time travel things in regards to that region. Then through the story of the game you help him and he eventually gets reunited with Ingo.

It could also be interesting if they did this in the anime. Like when the anime comes to that region and Ash bumps into Emmet and finds out about what happened to Ingo and either there's an arc where he helps him or Emmet goes on with his search and occasionally runs into Ash and catches him up on his findings.

Just the thoughts that popped into my head after watching this beautiful animation
