Yeah I was really shocked when I watched the OVA series of Violence Jack. Like seriously, this OVA rate of violence makes stuff like Fist of the North Star look tame 😵

To me peak violence & gore in anime was in the 80s and 90s, sadly I don't think we're ever going to get such a glorious time again. Sure we might get that one anime once in a while but it will not be on the same level as back then.
