The Droplet icon indicates that the timer automatically starts when it detects the flow of espresso, so there is no need to tap the power button to start the timer.

You can use the touch sensitive control setting to allow you to use the entire top plate of the scale as your surface while you use the app for your buttons 👌The entire surface works as a scale, and in my experience this helps with pour overs into large vessels that cover the display.
Ideally still using the rubber protector! As that is actually utilised to protect the load cell in the battery. It also ensures more accurate weights as these temperature effects essentially result in the expansion (or contraction) of the springs used for measurement in the cell resulting inaccurate reading.

At the 9:00 min mark, all of the auto modes (anything beyond the first two modes) are designed around the flow of espresso. Your first attempt was a flow rate similar to pour over, the second attempt was slower, closer to an actual shot of espresso.

You can turn off the modes you don't use so you don't have to cycle thru all of the modes and quickly access the two to three you use.

I've got a Brewista Smart Scale II, which is pretty nice, but one thing that jumps out at me is how quick the display updates with this one compared to mine? When pulling a shot, mine kind of goes from one number to the next (updates about once or twice per second, I'd say), which is about 2g in the "end game", when I'm going to stop the shot... With 16g of coffee, that can take your ratio from 2 to almost 2.2 easily, which is a fair bit!

So it looks like this scale's faster reaction time might make it easier to hit the target?

Can this be used for manual brewing with the new 2021 acaia lunar?

I suspect that the calibration should be done without the rubber mat on

Mine did not come with a cool carrying case. Must have discontinued that little perk

I dropped mine on a concrete floor and the corners folded, but it still works I'm so disappointed now because it's lopsided and chipped. I might buy a new one and give my dented one to a friend who wants one. Imperfections bother me lol.

For the price it’s a frustrating device. YouTube is your only way to learn how to use this. Instructions are horrible. Very finicky device. 250? No, find something half the price and easier to use. It’s a damn scale.

Just some constructive feedback. This is a review video - I stopped watching when you said “I don’t know what the dimensions are”. Sure not the most important feature but it just gives the impression you’re not prepared.
