I used a mild AHA together with differin and ”had no irritation” for a couple of weeks, all of a sudden I got THE worst reaction and I couldn’t use differin for MONTHS. Learned my lesson on that one 🥵.

Dr. Dray could you make a video about tips for students who want to become a dermatologist? Thanks 😊

I love Dr Dray, I used to find skin care really frustrating and overwhelming with so many products to choose from. Now I love listening to her videos. They are so informative, in comparison to the skin gurus out there that tell you to use this or that without real knowledge or profesional background. I now feel I do smart choices without breaking the bank. Thank you!

More of these types of videos but with other actives like niacinamide, azaelic acid, hydroquinone, etc.

Very sensible and logical. I am amazed at how generous you are to share your knowledge with us! Especially since there are so many products out there and it's so confusing!

Back in the day In my teenage years I wish I would have known these things because I ruined my skin mixing actives and using harsh ingredients or drying ingredients without moisturizing. I'm currently reversing a lot of damage Thanks to Dr Dray, her recommendations have really helped me 😊

Vitamin A / retinol is that kid that can’t get along with ANYONE lol!

This is why I only use simple things like Vit C and Hyaluronic acid in the morning and then use the more ~intense things like AHAs or retinoids at night. I've also heard never to mix Vit C and Niacinamide so I keep those separate as well.

In summary: KEEP IT SIMPLE. Don’t layer products without understanding their chemical nature. Stop doing what other crazy influencers do 🤭🤐 Listen to experts instead. Keep doing what you’re doing Dr. Dray 👏 👏👏 Can’t wait to pop the champagne when you reach 1M subscribers 🍾 🥂 Thank you! 🤩

For those that need the short answer.
It seems to be generally recommended to use Benzoyl Peroxide in the morning and Differin Adapalene gel at night.
But Benzoyl Peroxide and Differin Adapalene gel can be used together. Differin Adapalene gel is a form of topical vitamin A that actually remains stable in the presence of Benzoyl Peroxide.
It is literally what prescription medication Epiduo(a combination of Benzoyl Peroxide and Adapalene) is. You can find a few studies on the subject in the National Library of Medicine.
However, combining both products together could cause skin irritation and dryness for individuals that have more sensitive skin.
Also some additional studies show that the lower percent Benzoyl Peroxide products work with pretty much the same efficiency as the products with higher percent for acne.
So if you want to use Benzoyl Peroxide and Differin Adapalene gel together at night it may be beneficial to go for a Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser with lower percent because it can be less irritating and just as effective for treating acne as higher percents.
But as always you need to try these things out for yourself, monitor progress over the course of 4 to 6 weeks, and adjust as needed to see what works best for you and your skin.
If you require a more personal assessment then it would probably be best to see a Dermatologist.

I'm going to have to set up a spreadsheet of what can and can't be mixed. LOL
