How to use a Google sheet to gather information from a group

Do you have to gather meal options, t-shirt sizes, date preferences for a group of people?Have you thought about using a Google sheet to do it and get people to fill in their details? I'm sharing the example here of how to gather dinner options for Christmas but it can be applied to any social event or group experience.
