This 66 y.o. woman bought one today. A man came up to me when checking out said "He's going to love it". Of course I corrected him, " I'm the woodworker in our family", and " I will love it". I feel I can never go wrong with Dewalt. I'll be busy tomorrow, cant wait.

Have had mine for 6 months now and have found it to be more than capable of doing what I ask.

I just purchased one today. I appreciate this review. This will be my first time ever utilizing this machine. Thanks!

Had mine for two years now, brilliant and that fence did not disappoint. It's of the stand now and in a table which just increased its versatility. Ripping sheet material is a lot safer now.

There is a reversible blade on Amazon that will cut a 1/4 and 3/8 “ dado/ rabbit/ finger joints. Oshland sbj -0830 8”. With a small mod to the blade cover plastic it works great.

Bought mine a couple years ago, love it. FYI, you can fit a short stack of dado blades on it. You need to trim a little finger off the inside of the plastic blade guard. Have used it several times and it works fine for my needs. Shaft on the motor is too short for a complete stack but does accommodate both outer blades

I agree with your assessment- I bought the FlexVolt version of this saw in May. Dead-ass accurate right out of the box and plenty of adjustment options when needed. Bottom dust collection couldn't be better!

> "No way to lock it out"

There is a hole straight through the off switch to lock it down (visible from the side). I missed it at first, but someone showed it in detail in a different review. I'm much happier knowing that's possible.

Just picked this bad boy up for Father’s day (home remodel underway!) and comparing it to all the other comparable models, it is hands down the best all around with the rack and pinion fence adjustment, bright, large type, clearly marked rulers (especially on the miter tool!), and very solid adjustments for bevel, blade depth and fence. The others out there have such cheap knobs, clamps and adjusters never mind ALL BLACK gradients on their miter tool??? WTF thought that was a good idea??? Anyway, lots of trim work done interior and exterior around doors and it just works so damn well!! Thanks for the review/confirmation. :)

Hi Debbi! 🎉. I'm 70 old guy. I just got mine to replace my 35 year old cheap Craftsman. Good choice LADY 🥰

3M blue painters’ tape is my friend. I have an ancient Skilsaw 3102 bench top table saw that had the wobbly miter gauge problem. I had not used the miter gauge for years since I made my first cross-cut sled. Just for fun, I taped the guide rail of the miter gauge with blue tape to take up the slop. It took two layers (bottom and sides only!), but the slop is gone! The gauge is useful now. The saw being reviewed here has a t-slot for the miter, but I suspect that it can benefit from a similar treatment (ie., wrap the tape around the bottom _and_ the sides of the guide rail!). Anything you can do to “shim” the guide rail is a good thing. The blue tape is working fine for me so far.

Love my Dewalt 745. It’s still going strong. Thanks for your review.

Maybe the top dust collection is intended to be used with the blade guards down?

It will take a dado stack to about 1/2" or so. I have one set up as a permanent 1/4" dado for making drawers.

Thanks for the video! Just grabbed this special buy with W7440 Rolling Stand. With military discount and a $5 coupon out of pocket was $404.27. Your video justified the purchase! 👍

I just got mine and could not ask for better. I have a small shop area fits well for what I have. Dust collection good, calibration spot on. Good addition to my shop.
