How to refill a disposable lighter

THIS IS SAFE!!!
This tutorial shows how to refill a disposable NOT BIC lighter without damage it. Using a paperclip and a refill can. BUT when the lighter flint run out, the lighter will be useless (when this hapens, you can explode the lighter like in my other video)

Haha the lighter I was looking to refill was the same color and model as yours and same with my gas bottle. It is like this was made for me. I used a mini screwdriver because I had no paperclip.

Clever way to keep these disposables out of the landfills! Thank you for recycling and for a great video! Just a suggestion, count how many turns before the refill, then turn back same number before testing the flame if necessary.

That light level lever crank trick is very handy on these cheaper lighters often set too high. Also if you use that trick on lighters with fluid that wont light, they will light again after a few cranks in a better direction(left or right).

Really helpful bro, I'm 45 years old and I remember in my home town in Portugal where I originally come from I remember when I was a young boy every year we had a fun fair it's a traditional one it goes allover the country for a few months and I remember there was these men I used to see he was refilling disposable Bic lighters back then I remember the Bic lighters with a metal flame adjustable wheel and everyone was amazed by it but he never let anyone see how he did it he was telling people to come back after 30 minutes and for many years I was wondering how did he do it thank you bro this video it's kind of a childhood dream came true sort of speak.👍👍

You can take off the top of the lighter (black plastic, spark wheel etc) and then simply screw off the flame height adjuster and fill butane directly into it. Just gotta be fast screwing on the adjuster again before the gas vaporizes. The main reason you can't get that much butane into the lighter when you got the adjuster on, is because you build up pressure in the lighter. When gas goes in, air must come out. And by filling it directly into the flame adjuster hole (after removing the adjustment screw), it allows for the air to flow out of the lighter.

Thank you for the excellent step by step tutorial ! My only problem is lighter flints are rather hard to find in my area in my country (The Philippines) due to the abundance of electronically ignited lighters available on sale all over town. So the sellers I was told, have “phased them out.” Any ideas to where I could readily find them? Another question is, will your procedure work with electronic disposable lighters?

This is pretty cool, but how would you replace the ferocerium? As long as that can't be replaced effectively the lighter is still gonna break, likely before you run out of the refilled gas.

I remember the good ole 80's when I used to do this and other dangerous things in single digit age lol. I'm going to get a pen and use the ink tube to use these cheap 3 for a dollar lighters to refill my refillable lighters. *Butane quality is unreliable and worst of all, those same "reputable" brands are also expensive.*
