wtf is up with that first lady she obviously had a preconceived notion as soon she realized it was rap

It's funny cuz the girl that tried to stereotype a guy that Harvard professors regard as being poetically gifted thought she was on her high horse but understood 0% of the song lol

it's sad how quickly they dismiss the lyrics when they realize it's rap...

You could tell Sharon realized it was good after the first 10 lines but was too stubborn to admit it.

Look How His Lyrics Changed Them. At first They Didnt Take It Serious Then They Changed And Became Willing To Understand

Exodus 14 is the crossing of the Red Sea. The man could have been on the way to Freedom, already stating he defeated temptation.

woa some of their criticism of kendrick as an artist and a person is baffling. he's a highly influential social and political force, his words are super poignant

Sharon thinking she’s intelligent dissing work that is deemed good enough for Harvard’s library

The way she really stereotyped his music when she saw it was rap then said the song was a mask ignorance at it’s finest

It's sad that this super deep song is being looked over as a stereotypical rap song by these people

Some of them got mad when the bible part came when most of them probably don't read the bible.

Why does Sharon throw her hands and speak like that when she finds out it's rap? This song is she could never write a song with a powerful message if her life depended on it.

It sucks that they all missed the point of the song. When God reveals himself they all went immediately to "what if some bum claimed to be God" instead of "Would you give God a nickel if you didn't know it was God." Kendrick is saying that he is selfish and broken, and he doesn't deserve to get into heaven. At the end, he asks God to turn the page in his life and change him to make him right. They didn't seem to understand that it was a theoretical situation with a moral application, not just an aimless story.

Sharon is one of biggest examples of racism against hip hop. How could you hold such prejudice against a song like How much a dollar cost

Sharon lives rent free in my head years later. I will be thinking about music or something and the memory of her doing everything she can to miss the point clobbers me right over the head. I bet she's a menace on social media.
