The background vocals saying "And I'm tripping and falling" are just INSANE.

"If I didn't learn to love myself, forgive myself, a hundred times, " is one of the greatest bars of this decade.

Lost my 28 year old son to suicide last November a few days after his birthday. This has been one of the hardest things I've had to deal with as a mother...guilt and so much REGRET! When Kendrick speaks about saying goodbye to MIss Regrets it gave me so much hope and encouragement that I did the best I could as John's mom. A single mom who made it out of the hood and worked hard to give her son a better life. I can't and will not beat myself up about my son's decision. He struggled quite a bit with mental health; we all do a some level. I have tears while listening to this song because it's so raw and real! I know I will get through this tough season. Love you always my precious baby JJ. I will do all I can to be there for my grandbaby. Thanks for making real music that even us 40 and over folks can relate to Kendrick

People who hate this album clearly don't understand it, and it shows.

Not only I've been introduced to Kendrick Lamar thanks to the recent beef with Drake, he became my favourite artist hands down.

FUN FACT: The tap dancing you hear at the end was performed and recorded by Kendrick Lamar. He rented out an entire warehouse just to perform that snippet. The full recording is over 45 mins long and was Kendrick’s first actual performance in tap shoes. He hired a dance teacher and practiced for 6 months before recording.

I was bullied badly from ages 12-14. Carried that feeling with me my whole life. I'm 33 now and this year I'm going to take my first amateur boxing fight. Even if I lose, the boy in me that was too scared to fight back will get his day. This song helps me remember that. I love when they count me out.

he's speaking from a place of depression when he says "I love when you count me out." Solitude, wanting to be alone with your mind and your thoughts, sometimes even feeling unworthy to be among people. You love being counted out because it ACTS as confirmation of your unworthiness and what you believe, Only a person who's been there truly understands..

Count Me Out has like a similar flow to Love on DAMN, but it’s an opposite feeling. That’s dope af
