To stop my hair from falling out, I started using a soft silk pillowcase to sleep on. I also applied liiitllextra cocooninon hair oil shampoo. These adjustments helped me lose fewer strands. After a couple of months of applying them daily, my strands ceased falling out completely.

Currently experiencing extreme hair loss, my worst nightmare. I had Covid a few months ago, pretty severe, got pneumonia. I'm praying it's Telogen effluvium and it'll come back. I know I've been stressed beyond belief, but I never expected this.

One month later edit: I did wind up being diagnosed with TE. I still have to go for bloodwork but the fall out is slowing. I’ve lost a significant amount of hair, but not all. I’ve heard of many stories regarding TE and covid. So terrible, as if the pandemic isn’t enough. I think we’ll make it out! Just gotta stay positive. I have been taking biotin (only going to do for one month, and maybe go on and off every few months until hair growth is good again), and prenatal vitamins. I think there’s already minor regrowth, but am unsure.

Wow I’m not alone!!! I thought cuz I was getting older. I’m only 53. My mom and I had symptoms of covid back in March. It’s been about month in half ago when we started loosing our hair. I was scared. Mom and I are hanging in there. Everyone please take care of yourselves.

I’m currently crying because my curly hair is literally half gone 😣 took me 14 yrs to go natural. This is literally happening to me. Literally hair loss at the crown and thinning around the hairline is exactly what i have and curl pattern is struggling.. i just did an egg yolk mask for an hr

Here is what has happened to me: Around late December probably a week before Christmas I started to feel really sick. I had a super bad cough, a Low grade fever, I couldn’t stand up for that Long or I’d start to feel dizzy, I was tired, and I just felt terrible. I was sick for probably around 2 weeks but then after, I felt fine. I live with my parents and my little sister and what was surprising was that they didn’t catch anything. Anyways, I knew about covid, and how it was slowly starting to spread in the US, but I didn’t really think I had covid and that it could’ve possibly been the flu. Probably 4 or 5 months later, I’m outside Swimming in my pool, with my hair in a bun, and my mom noticed that I had lost a lot of hair behind one of my ears. She looked at closer and noticed that there was a lot missing behind my neck as well. At first we just though I had a weird hairline, but I felt like it was getting worse so I went to the dermatologist. They gave me some cream and had me get lab tests. Everything came back fine except that I have an overwhelming amount of antibodies from something. I should have only have 2 or 3 of these but I had over 1000 antibodies. They aren’t sure what antibodies they are, but the endocrinologist said that I could have a thyroid problem, but it’s not bad at all, just a little higher than usual. I need to go back and get blood drawn in 3 months, and if the antibody count does down then I definitely had Covid. Hair loss could be an effect of covid and I’m freaking out that I might’ve had it!

Has anyone on here had no other symptoms other than hair loss? I noticed a bald spot months ago on one side of my head and now there is a small one in the exact same spot on the other side.

I had covid in May i contracted virus whilst admitted to hosp with swelling of face, body with oedema to include accelerated thyroid (overactive) tested neg to corona. Got home after 5 days then confirmed coronavirus now I'm losing loads almost a 3rd of my hair. Had good thick string hair now I'm going bald. Virus symptoms are changing from imminent viral to post viral.

No, it's not stress or anxiety. It is straight up due to Covid.

Guys this is real. I had covid back in April and after 2-3 months my hair started falling out, a crazy amount. But, we got this special shampoo that helps the hair loss and it’s back to normal now.
