We now know of more future plans from Pixar as the movie to release post-Elio has now been previewed and confirmed as Hoppers - a tale about body swapping into a robot beaver. Weird! Being made from the creator of We Bare Bears, here is our initial thoughts and first impressions regarding the latest (and smallest) news coming from Disney. Just because it's a weird premise does NOT mean that the movie will or will not be successful.

Someone else said that a rat becoming the greatest chef in France was weird in concept, but Pixar found a way to make one of their most compelling movies of that decade.

I know it’s Avatar but with Beavers. A bonkers premise but it’s from the creator of one of my Favorite current shows “We Bare Bears”. Therefore I’m excited for this new film!

Scientist sometimes use remote-operated robots to observe and interact with wild animals, so that's probably the origin of the robot beaver in the film. It was made to study the beavers (and maybe the villain want to use it to manipulate them, convince them to move from a land they want to exploit or something), but whatever the origina plan for the robot was gets screwed when the protagonist highjacks it because "I'm tired of people, I'll be a beaver now" or whatever

Pixar and technology don't mix? Cars, Toy Story, and Monster Inc are all movies that have main plot threads that are about old tech coming to terms with being replaced by new tech.
