I’ve got an old, chubby kitty that seems useless, but she still pulls in a few birds and rodents.

Cats are cute, cuddly, and deadly. And a true cat lover wouldn’t have it any other way. 🐈🐈‍⬛

I honestly never knew just how smart cats are, until I acquired one after my little dog died, he's so intelligent and loving, I have high anxiety levels do to ptsd and o other illness I have, and he is like my little therapeutic fury brother from another, and brought me out of many anxiety attacks, by jumping on my lap and purring while I stroke him, I strongly recommend a cat to anyone who has anxiety issues!

My cat leaves the house first thing in the morning and patrols the farm and kills and eats all the rodents and weasels and yet never harmed any of my chickens, weasels are one of chickens biggest threats around here.

Disclaimer: I love cats. According to the current cat science, cats are indeed hunters. However, this means they want to do three things: 1. Claim prey (whether it’s a mouse or YOU with your “owner” delusion). 2. Kill their prey, usually by snapping their neck. And 3. Eat their prey. Pet cats are known for trying 1 (licking, head-bumping) and 2 (biting), but most pet cats in a sheltered domestic setting, couldn’t even finish 2, much less approach 3, when interacting with their owners or other people. From what science can determine, when cats rub against a person, fellow animal, or inanimate object, in their view, they own it. When a cat meets a rival or another but unfamiliar cat, caterwauling, or yowling, sometimes ensues, and oftentimes leads to physical altercations. When so engaged, they could appear oblivious to their surroundings. I submit that this is because they’re arguing over who owns all of it. A cat’s claims of ownership may extend to nearby people, places, potential mates, other objects, etc.

I came here after watching a short video of the black footed cat, which has a 60%+ kill ratio. Still, that's nothing compared to the frogfish and dragonflies, the latter having a 95% to 97% kill ratio.

I stopped walking near the river when I heard that about dragonflies, I really don't want to be eaten.

I was talking to my friend about how we own 90lb dogs but not cat. My friend respond he would be too scared to own a 90lb cat. Cats do git those claws that make them more dangerous than dogs that are the same size.

Toxoplasma Gondii

Toxoplasmosis is a disease caused by the single-celled parasite Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii). It is one of the most common parasitic diseases and infects nearly all warm-blooded animals, including pets and humans. Although cats are a necessary part of the life cycle of T. gondii, the parasite rarely causes clinical disease in them. While T. gondii seldomly causes significant symptoms in healthy adults either (see below for exceptions), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recently identified toxoplasmosis as one of five neglected parasitic infections of people due to its high prevalence. More than 60 million people in the U.S. are thought to be infected.

Those brown striped tabby cats disappear in the fall woods. Mine was perched in a silver maple tree and his coat against the bark made him disappear.

The Cat's success rate is WAYYY more than 32%.Have no idea where the narrator came up with that low percentage. It certainly DOESN'T apply to cats in general. It more like 75% minimum. My cat is at least that or higher. In other words, if she tries to kill something 10 times, she succeeds close to 8 times. she is a killing machine. LOL
