It's good for only in or out, you would have to pick up another HDMI cable for either in or out.

Hmmm interesting. I guess it's only real competition is the Roxio Game Capture and the BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle. It'd be nice to see a comparison. I'm just fine with my BMIP however.

Also, I don't see the glossy finish as a plus. Something your going to be grabbing and unplugging and plugging in. It's destined for fingerprint hell.

Could you tell me also whether you have to have the recording program open on your computer in order for it to let the device through to the TV, like the BMIP?

Yeah, Elgato announced in their latest update that the Wii U is compatible - not sure if it can produce 1080p, but it should be able to record 720p at least.

its actually really funny cause its not a game capture its just a converter you use to put what you put from your Xbox/PS3 to your PC or mac screen but so is roxio but least you don't have to plug it in so im diffidently getting one

D'you reckon this will work with the next gen consoles when they're released? Xbox 720 etc? Would be annoying if you had to fork out yet more money for a new capture card.
