Today I'm comparing two shaker bottles: The Ice Shaker that was featured on Shark Tank vs the BlenderBottle, which is the best-selling bottle on Amazon.

I have always liked my blender bottle. They have insulated versions that would be a better comparison. A glass option and stainless steel one for those who don’t like plastic. I like the plastic for lightweight.

I use the ice shaker with a blenderball added and it mixes extremely well. I've had at least half a dozen blender bottles fail over the years, usually something in the lid breaks which prompted me to go with the heavier duty ice shaker

Blender Bottle can actually have a huge leaking problem due to its lid occasionally not catching fully - but if you focus on what your doing, it's a very decent shaker. I rotate three regularly.

The Ice Shaker is a solution in search of a problem. If your shake is going to be in the bottle long enough to need insulation, you don't need an agitator for the shake to be mixed by the time you drink it. If you do need to mix your shake on the spot, you'd likely benefit more from the lighter weight of a plastic bottle in your duffle bag.

I'd much rather have a superior insulated bottle and/or a superior shaker bottle than one bottle combining the drawbacks of both.

I use a shaker for general mixing: eggs for omelettes and scrambled, pancake mix, drinks, and many more. It works great. I don’t need the extra features.

All the research I've done on these comes from old B&W movies. The proper way to shake it is to shake them one at a time. You place one hand on top and one hand on the bottom and shake vigorously. It helps if you have big band music playing in the background and you shake to the beat.

They both blend protein and don't leak. The rest of the "bells and whistles" just don't justify 23 or something extra dollars in my opinion.

I find blender bottles at thrift stores for $2 all the time. I use them to make ranch and honey mustard. They come in handy. The lid is not the best design for that because some of the ranch can spill around the edges and sometimes it will dry and get crusty. But as long as you maintain the opening of the bottle these bottles are great

I don't know why exactly but I don't like drinking out of metal cups. Although I really like the quietness and the sweat proofness, it would be really hard for me to shell out 36 bucks for a cup lol

I have one of the stainless steel version of the blender bottle. It stays cold for a long time but ice deff don't last 30 hours.

I have used blender bottles for several years for protein drinks and Zippfizz. The Zippfizz causes pressure to build up on shaking and have had bottle after bottle get a hairline split in the lid where it changes from the ring part that screws on and the dome that creates the top causing terrible leaks. I am not someone who likes to draw attention in public and I detest the rattling sound of the shaker ball in a quiet place. I just got an Iceshaker bottle. Without ice this bottle makes almost no sound except a quiet swoosh. I’m hoping the lid holds up better under pressure as it is made to hold hot drinks that build pressure when shaken. Also it makes more sense to me to shake the insulated bottle upside down because that is where the agitator is.

The ice shaker company is very receptive to the customers I purchased an earlier version that had issues they addressed them and made the corrections. They will continue to improve their products. Excellent company good products
