Use Dual Wield Casting For Maximum Spell Damage | A Tip For Your Build | Elden Ring

After playing with Spellcaster characters for a while, I realized that there was something that I could be doing in order to increase the damage of my favorite spells. Why would I have both a Staff and a Sword out at the same time? I can either attack or cast a spell. So, from now on, when I am casting my spells, I always dual wield Staffs. One on the Main Hand and one on the Off Hand. This lets me have maximum spell damage at all times.

A couple of vids from chrightt months ago not only taught me the benefits of duel wielding staffs, but also convinced me the simplicity and power of night sorceries. You are right, you do end up narrowing down your spell options alot when you duel wield the same staff, but I gotta say, the damage from the spells you have, along with enemies blocking with their face and die is worth it.

Man this was really well made! I already knew about dual wielding highest scaling seal and another one with dmg boost to deal more damage, but never tried it out myself for lazy reasons 😅

Also very good to know you can use two of the same seal and get more bonus dmg 😵 In my head i thought it would not stack at all, idk why

This is true, but you forgot to mention 2 facts:

1) alternating the catalysts (Left -> Right -> Left -> Right) can reduce cast delay, resulting in faster attack speed.

This doesn't work with every spell/incantation, for example, it works with Bestial Sling but not Stone of Gurranq.

2) This isn't just true for catalysts, it's true for many other items as well, such as Cinquedea or Sacrificial Axe. You can 2-hand Clawmark Seal to benefit from 1.5x Strength wile having Cinquedea or Sacrificial Axe in your other hand, and still get the benefit of those items.

So, a more correct way to view this is to say that the effects on certain items persist as long as they are actively selected, and spell/incantation buffs on staffs/seals belong to this category.
