Oh how I love Kenya. I am planing to visit there next year. My love fir Kenya prompted me to learn Kiswahili and my Kenyan friend tells me that I speak 20% of it 🤣. It's a beautiful country. Much love from Msanzi 🇿🇦

I'm kenyan, and I love your videos. I'd like to see you guys reacting to our national anthem, both in Swahili or in English 🙂

Mpesa is unique, it's an electronic money transfer system invented by a Kenyan. So mostly people in Kenya don't carry money to pay for things in wallet's, they pay for almost everything using mpesa, it's an app on a phone & that's been here in Kenya for almost twenty years now.

Good analysis! I'm a Kenyan from the Coast and have never eaten insects; it's mainly consumed in Western Kenya, I believe. I would also like to taste it when I'm in Kenya. Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda are one people. The majority of them have families, friends, and relatives in all of these three countries. Welcome to Kenya.

11:57 the reason there is a lot of similarities between the Nations around East Africa is because our borders were drawn up by Colonialists (the policy was divide and rule). Before this our people lived and expanded their tribal kingdoms anywhere and everywhere within the region. Ps Love your channel

kenya uganda and tanzania were all under the east African community(EAC) but it collapsed in 1977 now the EAC is a trade block with member states being Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, south Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi and the DRC

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. @Demouchets for all your reactions and your (virtual) journey through the world!
Here in Kenya and as an African, I know I'm not alone on this channel in appreciating it the most when you find out about our Mother Land!
Although this 'Geography Now!' video is a little out of date -- e.g. Kenya's population is now 52-55 million people as of 2021/2022 -- it's not bad at all. Thanks for taking the time to learn about our country!
I really hope you get to visit Kenya and the Continent as a whole! Meanwhile, I'll keep praying for your success and enjoying your content, guys! Much appreciated!

Kenyan here. The tribes intermarry alot in Kenya or East Africa as well. (Uganda x Tanzania) My parents are from different tribes.

For the Tanzania and Kenya thing, all i can say is back in the day Africa never had boundaries, usually people moved, migrated and settled in tribes, that why you'd find most Kikuyus in Mt Kenya region, Luos around lake victoria etc. The colonialist are the ones who came and formed boundaries hence where it caught you is where your gonna be. Im a Luo myself and there are Luos in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and it even goes as far as Congo but of course over time changes happen within each, maybe thats why africa has so many different tribes with core similarities.

The termites are not common. Mostly consumed in the western region of Kenya during the rainy season.

That's a good review of Kenya. Most of the facts are correct. It's however like how Kenya was 7 years ago. Today, Kenya is much bigger and more developed. If you visited Kenya with only this video as a reference, you will be surprised.

Time was short but there is more they would have covered, our white sandy beaches(especially Watamu & Diani), our Swahili cuisine that is heavily influenced by Arabs and Indians, our geography too from Mt. Kenya to the coast, to chalbi desert with its magnificent sand dunes to the highlands of Western Kenya, to the Lamu archipelago where Kiswahili was born and has the Lamu town that is a UNESCo heritage site. Kenya has alot to offer.
