Okay since I get comments saying “I have this” all the time, I want to state: this specific stone variant of the museum is NOT in the game any more. Unless you’re playing without updates, you cannot have this if you just started playing. Only those who never upgraded it before the 2.0 update in November 2021 would still have it, which is a really small portion of players.

Upgrading was part of the fun in old games, and they kinda just took all of it away. The fact that nooks store doesn’t upgrade past it’s current state is just kind of sad

I literally upgraded it on day one... oh no 😩 but I finished the art exhibit of mine and it looks amazing, I just wish we could customize the exteriors of our shops and stuff. Perhaps in the next AC game

OH WOW, I got the game back in March 2021 and restarted my island last month, I was confused why Blathers didn't have a thought bubble after a while and mention a museum upgrade. Genuinely thought I was crazy and made it up in my head after playing so many sleepless nights, so glad I found this short and know now it absolutely was real! :0

The art gallery and Cafe came in it if you updated animal crossing and/or your switch even if you have the stone museum

I got so exited when I saw this on my island- I use a family switch that my mom didn’t want the island so I took it over and we’ve had animal crossing since it came out. My older sisters who now have their own switches don’t play anymore aswell and the island has been left for a long time and me forgetting about it.
Edit: I also have it on my own switch I’ve gotten now because I got impatient to download the updates and played for a while time traveling getting the old owl.

For the longest time I didn’t have an upgraded museum and all my friends did because acnh glitched on me and Redd never came, so when they released the update, I was thrilled to see Redd standing on the beach because I had been waiting forever for him lol. (I think Nintendo added a thing where Redd will come if he hasn’t)
