Just casually starting again to enjoy the game without the stress of making a perfect island sounds pretty dreamy tbh 🥺

I flattened mine and am currently regretting it, I had a ton of flowers in various designs that grew out of control and I feel like digging them all up just to be able to start redesigning sounds exhausting and I wish I had a more natural island layout. I love my villagers, and that's really the only thing keeping me from pushing the button. There's really only 3 I would truly miss having on my island though, so restarting might be my best path going forward.

For me, the little thing that bugs me is that my residence services is really far to one side of my airport. It makes entrance designs SO challenging and unsatisfying

I just really enjoy the early game! The excitement of finding new furniture. Everything looks so natural. What I don’t like is losing all my diy’s… I worked so hard for them. Trading with people, hunting for them in game for hours. But I feel stuck on my Island right now. I just want a new Island name, persona and layout. I don’t like cleaning up stuff. I still have my first Island, and this is my second. I started it back in april. And it worked last time when I started my new Island on a new switch. I just am a bit afraid of having none of my favorite diys. For my first Island I struggled a lot and got none of my fave diy’s I had seen others have. And on this new one I got them all. But that doesn’t matter if I don’t want to use my Island anymore 😅 Ugh, I am conflicted.

I decided to restart and instantly regretted it. That day I accomplished so much and completely forgot until I had reset. I just didn’t want to reset and I wish I could get it back. I do not recommend resetting unless you just came back from a break from it which I did but played it all the time like I used to. And now I’m stuck with ugly villagers and no Isabell or blathers or any things in my museum

Question: (IM VERY LATE SORRY) if you have the DLC does it stay or do you have to buy it again when u reset

When I restarted, I left Raymond and Maddie.
Of course I got them back after a lot of tickets, but I'm experiencing burnout once again.
I decided that I would take a long break from animal crossing all together and only play during holidays ☺️ it's not going anywhere and there's nothing wrong with stopping for a while :D

Thank you for this! I've been considering restarting as I've felt burnt out, but it's difficult as I've had my current island since the game came out.
Anyways I think I'll go around my island, get plenty of screenshots, give my more important items to friends, then restart once I'm ready.

i wish more people mention that the blank canvas can push you over the edge of burn out into another state i didnt know existed! the blank canvas made me hate turning on the game ... considering restarting the only thing thats holding me back is no diys, i guess restarting cant do any more harm than flattening (i havent turned on the game in a year and a half)

It’s been 3 years, I have a perfect 5 star decorated Island, but I miss the starter island vibes, I’m probably gonna restart but I’m gonna miss my rare villagers that took hundreds of nook miles tickets to find :l

restarted and love it! but I miss my catalog and my DIYs so I'm not sure I'd do it again (I can't figure out treasure islands LOL) and I'm bad at making money, the GOOD is that I really love the idea of a no-terraforming island and it's not the terrifying blank slate

I wanna restart cuz I just hate my island and I tried flattening and it was too overwhelming for me. I don't really care if I lose my villagers or museum, but I will miss my flowers and my catalog. I have over 100 golden roses and like 400+ nook miles tickets and a crap ton of other rare stuff I don't want to loose. And the worst part is I don't have a friend who plays acnh so I can't move all the stuff and move it back after I restarred 😭

I flattened a while ago but it always feels like my island is never good enough. I've gotten some inspiration online but I don't know what to do at this point. I really dont want to restart. Maybe I should just take a break from the game for a little while?

I terraformed too much, now feels both too small and too big. (too much flattening in some areas and I removed water ways i shouldn't have probably). I have ideas but I have no clue how to do it and I am terrible at the terraforming. . The things I would miss is the flowers and a couple of viliagers, and it took forever to get to 5 stars. Restarting is tempting.
