My school had computers that had the fangame Super Smash Flash 2. I know it's just a fangame but i respect it for introducing me to Mother.

Brawl was my first Smash Bros, so yeah that’s how I found Earthbound

Smash 64 introduced me to Ness, Brawl introduced me to Lucas

Brawl is what introduced me to so many video game characters as a kid.
Before I got it, I only knew the Mario characters, Pokemon, Kirby and Sonic

Too bad mother 3 on the N64 was canceled.

Atleast it came out on the GBA.

When I first saw Porky, I thought the robot was a sentient monster that kidnaps children and uses them to power itself, and the kid inside was just another victim. Boy, was I wrong!

I'd say the original but Ness was just some psychic kid that looked like a pokemon trainer at that time so had no idea what he was supposed to be from. Melee brought in trophies, stages, music, and Mr. Saturn so I think I started to realize Earthbound was a game by then. I played it before Brawl came out and then learned there was a "Mother 3" when Lucas was added

I found it while playing the SNES mini back in 2019. I remember playing the opening scene at 5am, probably my best video game experience.

I found it through Brawl myself. I used to play with Lego characters I made of them. I thought they were in each game simultaneously.

Brawl was me. In full honesty I used to see him and think “oh yeah. Magic kid” because I didn’t know ness’s name. But now like however long later I love the mother series (I started to replay earthbound 3)

For me, I found the MOTHER series by Nintendo Online while looking at the NES games

I technically played as Ness in Brawl but it never came to my head to check out where Ness came from which lead me to not checking out the Mother/Earthbound series. I played Smash Ultimate and played as Ness and Lucas which led to me checking out the series.

I'm one of the oddballs who grew up on Earthbound (still have the players guide from my original copy but not the game). So Smash 1 comes out and my eyes lit up when I unlocked Ness.
