Welcome to episode 1 of my Cheap Eats NYC series!
Mei lai wah is a Chinese restaurant and bakery serving cheap but delicious food such as buns, / congee and noodle rolls. I wanted to see what | can get away with spending only $5 or less here. To my surprise, they had lots of options under $2.
The steamed pork bun was a winner but the highlight was the pineapple roast pork bun. I literally have not stopped thinking about it since taking my last bite.
It's so good that I'm heading back today to get some more! Highly recommended for you ballers on a budget
