In fact, consumption and productivity!?!?! For $1500 spent on a PC, you need at least $3000 spent on a MAC, when it's converted into electricity, the Intel works at least 3 years longer with much better performance. And about malfunctions and upgrades ... no, there's no point in even mentioning that!

i would go with mac in a heartbeat if all the games I play could run on a mac. and if mac didn't charge $5000 for the lowest tier budget gaming pc (if they made gaming pcs)

Amusingly enough you actually did hit on Intels main problem and that is the on die interconnect.
AMD designed theirs while building the Bulldozer and Ryzen Gens and intel just used the equivalent of elmers glue.
