The inspiration behind this video:

Corenswet's first high-profile lead role came in Netflix's Hollywood, the limited series that saw the new Superman appear as Jack Castello, an aspiring actor climbing up the ranks of the movie industry, which mirrors Corenswet's real-life situation perfectly. Corenswet displayed his endearing charisma in the series, with the actor showcasing his ability to play up Clark Kent's down-to-earth persona throughout the show. One of Superman's most important aspects is that he is incredibly human, despite being an alien, which Corenswet can excel at.

Finally, Corenswet himself is a major Superman fan, with the actor going on record with Entertainment Weekly in 2019 to say that he wanted the next iteration of the character after Cavill to "be very bright and optimistic.” Corenswet now gets to bring his dream to life in Gunn's Superman: Legacy, with the film being very much inspired by Superman's boy scout attitude from the comics, as Gunn brings back the classic, hopeful version of the character with Corenswet in the role in 2025's Superman: Legacy.

If they really do choose this guy to be a younger Superman I think he’s a good choice. He definitely has a Superman-ish type face, and physique. But Cavill is still a perfect mature Superman and deserves another movie!

The single greatest scene in the 2006 "Superman Returns" movie (maybe the best scene in the history of the series) is when Superman decides to remove an entire island out of the ocean, and transport it off into space. This is the level of Superman's powers, and the scene always gives me chills.

First he floats out in front of the sun, absorbing the energy of the sunlight. Then he channels all of his anger and drives himself through solid rock, in order to save the planet from the deadly rock formation.

This scene is what Superman is about, and it did the character justice.

In the future, we must see Superman do similarly impossible, almost inconceivable acts bordering on "supernatural" power. Superman is not supposed to have Human limitations, or artificial constraints as determined by our Human mind.

Warner Bros. If you read this comment: DO NOT MAKE SUPERMAN WEAK! NO MORE! We need a Superman that destroys everyone and everything in his path, 100% of the time. I don't want to see Superman getting knocked out, or dropped on his head. Superman is supposed to be bullet proof and infinitely powerful. We want to see a Superman that kicks ass, like John Wick.

I hope it's a fan made trailer because it looked like crap. I also heard dialog that sounded familiarly like something said by Henry Cavill in Man of Steel.

If DC's hope was either to induce fans to this embrace this new Superman or to mollify those who mourn Cavil''s loss, then it fails miserably. One would have to find a stovetop to see greater range of emotion.

However, the goal was to confirm that WB can always exceed its tone-deaf malpractice in live-action representation of DC characters, then it is marvelously successful. And Superman's motivation is to make his Terran dad proud? Really? Sounds like a disturbing psychological burden for someone who has power to level a continent.

Finally someone might want to talk to the film editors about costume dynamics. If Superman ever landed that hard and that fast as he does at 0:29, then the cape would not be draping down around his ankles as he descended, would it? At least they always got those details right when Cavil flew or landed.  Even high school film makers would have nailed that right.  

Wow, really can't wait for this waste of AI.
