A lot of this stuff, like the portraits are likely due to the wii limitations. Not only would it not look good quality wise, but they likely had to remove a lot of stuff to make it playable

Some of the changes in this video are pretty explainable actually.
0:26 - Balcony being inaccessible was to prevent the game performance dying when rendering in too much at once. Closed it off for some optimisation
0:43 G11 scope “turret” error is because you are playing with scope controls set to “control stick” instead of pointer options. Not a bug
0:50 likely to save space on disc? Idk but that’s the most likely reason aside from small optimisation
1:00 lighting probably changed due to most users playing on 480P displays. Probably made brighter for visibility reasons. Looks weird via emulator though
1:04 Emulator inaccuracy. I believe you don’t see those on real hardware. Or they were patched out with the Wii Shop Update
1:17 likely small optimisation
1:54 most other explosive weapons across most Wii CoDs use that exact crosshair for any explosive weapons. Also applies to grenade launcher attachments.
2:08 saving space on disc by keeping viewmodel hands to just one generic model
2:17 Thundergun early reload was fixed in a Wii Shop Channel update patch. Playing without the patch allows you to reload manually

I'm a game designer myself and I can tell you the Wii had very low limitations. Some things I can explain and some things I cannot. The bigger the map can take up a lot of data, the more color pallet you use, the better sound quality can also cause more issues, and the more stuff you add in can do more as well. Some things I can't explain are the wall in the theater and some of the changes like that. and i think they were pushing it a little with the game all together. I like that you've made the video because it's really interesting to see the changes. These videos also can let us know how much we have come with video games in quality. Like i use Unreal Engine 5 and it really wows me to see this and what I make in UE5.

I would assume these changes would be due to BO1 Wii version being the BO1 beta version. Proof that it is a beta version of BO1 is because for example, if you were to compare the M1911 firing sound from the Wii version and a beta build of BO1, they would both sound the same. Also if I remember correctly, BO1 Wii version was being worked on by a different studio at the last second of BO1's development. I would assume that some of these changes were actually made for the Wii version for unknown reasons but the rest were just leftovers from the beta like for example, if you were to look at were to look in the same spot that Mule Kick would be in then you will see some more chalk writing which can be found in the files of BO1.

A reminder that Kino was originally going to be WaW 4th DLC, the Wii version looks like it

The opposite is probably true, that the Wii version uses a much earlier, raw version of Kino and the other consoles & PC use a more developed version

It was made by a different part of treyarch, one that knows how to make wii games, and things werent removed they were just never put into the map, likely to keep performance up

I actually really like the Wii version of the mystery box, if that was the one used in BO1 I wouldn’t of been disappointed to be fair, great content 👌

There also is a wall blocking the view to the middle corridor on top of the stairs leading to the theater. I've seen lots of texture issues when the wii struggled to render all of that sometimes. This was obvioulsy to allow for lower draw distance.

It's an older version of the map the Wii dev team were given while Treyarch made a few changed prior to launch. The Wii dev team did not make said changes.

I wish Treyarch would make Ultimis/Primis Characters hold pistols with 1 hand, like in SHG did in WWII. At least it's in Wii version.

Here's an interesting bit of info. Apparently, the "Five" intro scene is still in the game files on the Wii version, just not the actual map itself.
