I had surgery 5 weeks ago to remove a breast mass. I’m one of the lucky ones who heard the words “it’s benign.” I will forever be mindful of those who do have cancer, and I pray for your healing.

Going through it right now. My wife is a trooper! Marching right through it. Your eyes look like my wife’s eyes. I see the hurt!

And once again 🇺🇸 proves that the health of its citizens is based on what kind of health insurance they can afford. America is the ONLY country in the developed world that doesn’t have some form of universal access to health care. She says, at least twice that she has great insurance. How sad for the millions of other other American women who don’t

This gave me chills. I was diagnosed at the age of 35, in October of 2018. I am free of stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma as of May 2020…yet I still struggle to connect with my husband emotionally. We’ve never talked about it. He never went with me to appointments or treatments and I felt very abandoned by that.

We’ve been married for 15 1/2 years and have 4 children. A 15 year old son, 12 year old daughter and 9 year old boy/girl twins.

You are so blessed to have such a loving supportive partner!!! I know the emotions can be extremely intense but HANG IN THERE!!! You look and ARE beautiful!!! YOU ROCK

Thank you for sharing your story. ❤️ I’m “only” 39, and I keep telling myself it’s nothing, but you’ve inspired me to get the discoloration on my breast checked out. I will keep you, your family, and your continued health in my thoughts.

I'm 37 and just been diagnosed with Stage 2A Ductal Cell Carcinoma, grade 3. I totally went down the rabbit hole of "what if's". I'm currently recovering from having a mastectomy and reconstruction. And, I'm waiting to find out what treatment works best for me.

I’m 31 and 33 weeks pregnant. Mentioned to my husband I had a weird lump under my armpit. It started in one then a month or two later there was one in the other armpit. They’ve been there since September. I thought it was something caused by pregnancy. Fast forward to today, finally found the time to get into the ultrasound. I prepare myself for everything but today scared me… the reaction from the radiologist really deeply scared me. She saw larger than normal nodes. Bigger that an active infection or illness going on. I’m scared, waiting for a biopsy and trying to enjoy my growing baby. At this point I wish I would have pushed more once I felt those lumps😢 I wish I had the help to get in quicker. Now I feel like this is a waiting game I shouldn’t have let go on this long. Praying all will go well, praying it’s not cancer. Praying is what is going to help keep me strong and sane. Thank you for sharing. I’m not ready to share this info with the rest of my family because I don’t know what the future holds.

I’ve been an icu rn for 15 years, mom and aunt with breast cancer, currently undergoing work up for a breast mri finding. Interesting parallels here, my children look very much like yours 😊, I work elbow to elbow with intensivists all day, identify so much with this conversation. Just stumbled upon this on my feed. And now of course given your critical care content, I am going through other uploads. Thankful for good outlook for your wife. Blessings to your beautiful family. And to all that experience this awful diagnosis. Thank you 🙏

Im so glad you're Ok and that you have an awesome husband there by your side ! I've been healthy all of my life, just diagnosed DCIS non- invasive, stage 0, low grade. The mammogram didnt catch it at all. I had decided to have a double mastectomy in Dec. with no reconstruction .Im looking forward to being fabulously flat and wearing all kinds of fun tops again!😊

You both did an excellent job of sharing all of your experiences. Thank you! I’m one of those women who is having utter frustration with the medical care in breast health. Age is a huge barrier on both ends of the spectrum. I feel forgotten. I’m grateful for your courage in sharing!!

It’s unfortunate that one of the largest misconceptions is that breast cancer is privy to a certain age, more and more findings are showing women between ages 19-29 are being diagnosed with breast cancer, so should check ups should not be a deterrent. It’s also unfortunate she had a medical team reassuring her that it was nothing, instead of saying whatever the results are you overcome and manage if diagnosed. She’s such a brave woman for sharing her story. 🌷
