The Pakistani government has decided to reverse its policy on passport issuance for nationals seeking asylum abroad.
On Monday, a high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar reviewed the policy. It was decided to withdraw the circular from June 5, 2024, which had suspended passport issuance for asylum seekers.
