By asking Haley to come speak, Trump was extending the olive branch to Haley. It's not that he trusts her, but this is him giving Haley an opportunity to come back into the fold under his leadership. This is definitely a good look and sends a great message to the voters.

After what happened though he knows unity is a powerful motivator for independents still on the fence about voting for him.
