I use sweet pickle relish, diced red onion, celery, and sliced black olives. Yummy

I love potato salad so this was right up my alley. I just love watching you cook. It dawned on me today that you remind me of my beloved Aunt Bernice on my Dad's side. She's with our Lord now, but she was a kind lady. She owned a tiny general store back in the day in our tiny hometown. When my older sister and I visited her, Aunt Bernice always gave us each a tiny sack to fill with our very own selection from the wide variety of penny candy she sold in her store. Wonderful memories of a much simpler time. May God bless you and the work of your hands.

I agree. I make my own, but on the rare occasions I buy potato salad, it just isn’t as good as mine. When I cook the potatoes, when they’re done, I drain them, put them in the bowl I’ll be making it in, and put it in the refrigerator (I don’t rinse them so I don’t get rid of the starch). Once cooled until it is not piping hot, then I add the dressing I made while cooling. They still should be warm, so they absorb the dressing without melting the dressing. That’s my little trick. 😁

I'm always so happy to see a new video from you! This is just how I learned to make potato salad, except I garnish mine with a sliced boiled egg and some paprika. As a side note, my daddy stood behind me one day as I peeled potatoes, and said, "Child, I hope you marry someone rich enough to afford all the potatoes you waste."

Got a funny one for you. 1st time I went my sister in law's house for a BBQ I experienced her version of potato salad. Just potatoes....yellow mustard and salt. Oh my... it looked neon yellow she used an entire small bottle of mustard. Believe me her entire family was grateful because I made it my mission to introduce her to a NEW way to make potato salad. Thanks for the videos. I look forward to them every Monday. Love the accent... people ask me to talk all the time. I'm from Louisiana and the cajun accent is there. Keep shining
