Anyone else remember when Jennifer Lawrence bitched about not getting paid the same as the leading man in X-Men, but never took the time to realize in the movie passengers she got paid a lot more than Chris Pratt. It’s almost like movie stars are paid separately, depending on how much popularity they have.

For Barbie, Margot Robbie made $50 million while Ryan Gosling only made $12.5 million.

Oh the humanity! 😭

The child of a famous actor not “understanding” how Pratt could possibly be paid more is laughable and also unbelievable. As in, I literally don’t believe it. She knew why and still decided to cry about it anyway. Entitlement at it’s finest.

Jennifer Lawrence was paid $20 million for Passengers while her costar Chris Pratt was only paid $12 million. If the pay were reversed everyone would cry "sexism", but somehow when a man makes less it is completely alright. And Passengers came after The LEGO Movie, Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, so Pratt was already a huge star at that point!

He's Chris Pratt and she's that girl who's in the Chris Pratt dinosaur movies.

Bryce Dallas Complaining about Chris getting paid more is like Kirsten Dunst crying for not getting payed enough for her role as MJ in the Sam Raimi Spider-man trilogy.

How is asking an actor to lose weight for a role any different than asking an actor to gain lean muscle for a role. Bryce Dallas Howard wasn't a "victim" by being asked to lose weight for her role. Christian Bale had to drop down to 120lbs for his role in "The Machinist" then had 6 months to gain 100lbs in lean muscle to start filming "Batman Begins". You do what you have to to fit the role, otherwise they'll find an actor who will. plain and simple.

They made Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill, who are both in their late 60s / early 70s, go to the gym and work out to get into decent shape for this movie. Chris Pratt had to get toned as heck to play his role.

They asked Bryce Dallas Howard to lay off the snacks and drop a few pounds, too... and that was a line too far? Sexist, even? Heaven forbid she have to put in even an ounce of the effort her male co-stars did. AND then she complains about her pay, to boot.

I'm done with this actress and her movies. Sick of it.

I love Bryce, but it's her fault for thinking anyone watched those movies to watch her. Her character could've died in the first 5 minutes and the movie and sequels would have made the exact same amount of money. She wasn't the draw. She's a bench player; she's not LeBron

Cillian Murphy (a man) was also asked to lose weight for Oppenheimer. That’s not body shaming, that’s doing what it takes to make the character believable. Oppenheimer was very slim so it makes sense that the actor playing him should look slim too.

It’s not the first time that actors are asked to change their appearance for a role, man or woman, whether it’s shaving their head, losing weight, gaining weight, building muscles, tanning, etc. That’s just part of the job! 🙄🤦🏾‍♀️

Another example is Iron Man 1, where Terrence Howard was paid 6x times more than RDJ because he was a potential prospect that just won a nomination while RDJ was still fresh out of prison, trying to make his return. Actors are paid for their popularity, awards won, whether your main or supporting cast, etc

Before his big break, Chris Pratt was living out of his van. Before her big break, Bryce Dallas Howard was living off her father's successes in acting and directing. Let Chris Pratt have his moment. Let alone, I didn't got to the Jurassic World Sequels for Bryce Dallas Howard. No one did.

The weight thing is ridiculous. Look at what Pratt used to look like and what he currently looks like. Old Chris Pratt would not have been considered for most of the roles he has been enjoying.

Jennifer Lawrence got paid more than Chris for the movie Passengers, despite having far less screen time…didn’t hear him complaining!

Why is she pretending like losing weight for a movie is such a big deal? The men literally have to bulk up and gain weight/get cut for movies which is challenging work. Not only do they have to get bigger and leaner, they also have to constantly work out on set to keep a “pump” for scenes where their body is showing.

I also like how the article said Chris Pratt went from “fat to jacked”. I bet that no one ever called Bryce Dallas Howard fat let alone put in written text that she was fat.

Chris Pratt lost weight and got ripped for Guardians of the galaxy.
Bryce Dallas Howard refused to lost weight for Jurassic World and she still wants to get paid equally?
Shear hubris.

5:41 Hold On, Pratt also had to get thinner and jacked for his roles, he didn’t cry about it.
