Brother makes things so complicated. I will never buy another Brother device. What are you talking about with Network key? What is that? Where do you find it?

I couldn't get WPS to work with my new router, but this video showed me what to do, even though it meant painstakingly typing in a long password (when each letter involved pressing a number key multiple times). But I'm connected, which is what matters.

I had no idea how to get the letters & numbers for the key without a keypad, & the online Brother instructions didn't say, so THANKS for that. Suggest you add that numbers are at very end so better to start with the DOWN key for those.

Mine gets stuck on the "Searching SSID" stage, even after moving it right next to the wireless router! It just won't find the network. Very frustrating.

And it would be nice if someone would explain HOW to make the letters capitalized after telling us it is case sensitive. I guess I may be looking for that for a long time. 😞

nice try, but nope. "wifi setup? y/n? choose Y. "Connect to WLAN" does that for 5mins. "Timed Out" . now what?

August 2024 update: still works. Don’t get the app though. Make sure to press enable W lan after selecting it. My router was about 25 feet away from printer with a wall or two in between. Didn’t not come up on first scan but second scan did.

I’m pressing up or down and nothing happens. I’m on the default screen but that seems to be reading “fax only. Sleep”.

How do I get it so that pressing up or down gets me in the wireless connection start up ?

firstly why not just have a keyboard on the printer, also saying "its that simple" is very arrogant, it doesn't even tell you HOW to enter the capital letters

Perfect. My friend said he had difficulties setting his up amd returned it, just took me about 45 seconds so... I guess if you don't know how to get your network password then any wireless printer would be difficult? *shrug
