As an American citizen I am greatly insulted by the remarks made by Obama which were aimed toward Trump. The remarks beginning with "It's not hosting a talk show or a reality show ...". The thing is ... they were not just aimed toward him. They were aimed toward all of us non-politician citizens of the United States. What Obama is actually saying is that no common citizen can ever be qualified to be President of the United States when the position itself (as framed by the Constitution) was designed for the common citizen. This is what makes our republic unique. What Obama just told us ALL is that only elitist politicians (like he) are qualified to fill this position in our government. To me ... that is the greatest insult anyone can throw at a United States Citizen. And when he says; "And a lot of people count on us getting it right." By "us" he means elitist politicians and by "a lot of people" he means those that elect these elitists should not question what they do. We should just count on them to get it right.
