As an American citizen you should be highly insulted by the remarks made by Obama toward Donald Trump. Especially the remarks beginning with "It's not hosting a talk show or a reality show ...". Those remarks were not just aimed toward Trump. They were aimed toward all of us non-politician citizens of the United States. What Obama is actually saying is that no common citizen can ever be qualified to be President of the United States when the position itself (as framed by the Constitution) was designed for the citizen statesman. This is what makes our republic unique. What Obama just told ALL of us is that only elitist politicians (like he) are qualified to fill this position in our government. To me ... that is the greatest insult anyone can throw at a United States Citizen. And when he says "And a lot of people count on us getting it right." by "us" he means elitist politicians and by "a lot of people" he means we who elect these elitist politicians. He is telling us we should not question what they do or challenge them or (better yet) we should just shut up and count on them to get it right.
