I wonder if higher player counts might suffer from the same problem as river markets with higher player counts; where the higher amount of interaction that happens on each other player's turn with the board in between each of your actions results in trying to plan your moves being a relatively unproductive activity.

I hope they implement something official with the rondel advancement in 2p though it does seem easy to apply a variant. Ideally they could have a small mark at the bottom of the contract and storage tiles and in a two player game, at the end of the round, before discarding the leftmost tiles, advance the rondel marked (thereby advancing two rondels). I suppose you could do this with the three types of goods, assigning each to a rondel? Probably would need to combine medicine and another for one rondel or it would never move.

I find it interesting how Rahdo thinks it's better at higher player counts, and Tom Vasel thinks the contrary. :-) Is 3-player the only "good" count?
