Cody, I was the same way insofar as I hated card games (due to being burnt out on Magic: The Gathering back in the 1990s) and bought Netrunner last year specifically to see if I could get over my bias and learn to appreciate card games again. And like you, I'm now a fan of Netrunner specifically and card games in general, and have gotten others including Legendary Encounters (Alien). So, high-five! :)

You don't flatline until you take damage that EXCEEDS the number of cards you have in hand (you can go to zero and still live). Also, if something reduces your hand size below one you'll flatline at the end of turn - so if you've lived through a ton of brain damage by drawing up you'll still die end of turn if you dip below 0 hand size.
