For the first time in a very long time, I am enjoying drawing. No tension, no disappointment. So happy to have gotten to this point.

Could this be the channel I've long needed but never knew I did? No obnoxious all-caps titles, no spastic editing, no "do x" and "stop doing y." Also, where's all the tips on monetizing your art and growing an audience on social media? Instead you're treating art not as an instrument but... as an end in itself (!)?

Are you sure you're doing this right, you lovely hunk of human spirit!

Hello Danny,
I have seen about a gazillion art channels/ videos and above all 'advices'.
Nothing has ever inspired or motivated me like your messages.
You treat art like a 'healing angel'.
I so needed this at this point of my life.
Bless you 🤗
Can't wait to start my first sketchbook!

It is true that drawing is like meditation. It allows your brain to still do whatever it wants to do but not focusing on it. The focus we offer is what is in front of us between our eyes, the drawing tool and the paper. I always like the peaceful feeling right after I’m done drawing and put down my pen/pencil/brush. The breathing slows down and I look up to a world that is a lot calmer than when I started…

Just about to start drawing for the day so this was definitely apropos, spot on! Yesterday, I continued a big painting of a women in a garden inspired by a British movie I had seen a couple of times while listening to Tibetan singing bowls. Talk about being in the flow, a Zen moment of pure bliss, a meditation like you've said! Drawing in your garden sounds sublime like the late great French impressionist painter Claude Monet did all the time! I have a tiny garden not big, so what I do is paint gardens to bring them into my home. Thanks for sharing more of your art/creative wisdom, much appreciated~

Yes! Painting too. For me watercolour is freeing, just as it is liquid and a bit unpredictable, so our art turns out that way, and the process is relaxing to me and surprising at the end. I haven't controlled it. I have given up control! I love it....

Wow! So good to know that someone understands - truly understands! You described the deep feeling of fear that I experience exactly. When I settle and draw from observation that feeling disappears - Such a relief 🙏
