art block has really only ever hit me the hardest when im depressed and dont have the capacity to feel anything. pictures speak a thousand words and it can be really hard to make em when you can barely eek out a letter, or a line

Extra tip for artists like me who can't afford a sketchbook:
Many offices have documents that don't use and many times throw them on the trash, in some cases (I don't know why) those papers are only printed on ONE side, living the other side empty! So you can ask for those misprints and use the empty side to draw for free!

I just draw trees, female hips, faces, or buildings when I’m really deep in the art block. Just sketching moving my hand in curves makes shapes that form into something more.

What I like doing is showing it to my friends and asking what they think or, give myself time to breath and forget about it for a little and that usually works

I actually really like this look on escaping art block! Focusing more on expressing your emotions/desires through your doodles, that's actually really helpful
Most videos on this topic are very similar and don't actually help me that much so I appreciate it a ton

If I have art block, I don't have any brain juice left to come up with ideas for even just a measly sketch😭I just stare at the paper, no thoughts, then I feel like crying, because I wanna draw, but I physically and mentally cannot bring myself to do it

But the last part about the possibility of ending up with a sketch that I wanna turn into an artwork later definitely helps!! I'm gonna try that next time :)
