Most people hate how much the narrator is used during the chimera ant arc but thats one of my favorite aspects of the arc

They can never make me hate the Chimera ant arc.
It accumulates everything they learned from the Hunter exam to Greed island.
What you said about Gon and Mereum switch was great. Darkness and light. It’s an amazing story telling, which shows how dark it will be getting from there on. It’s an amazing arc.

I will always say that the Killua scene with Palm is one of the best period and doesn’t get talked about nearly as much as it should.

At first I did not like Hunter X Hunter, thought it was too slow and did not flesh out the characters enough, but it's like a slow burn, each arc getting better and better, and the Kimera Ant Arc was just so damn perfect. That arc I have re-watched a few times and Meruem is one of my all time favorite characters with the most amazing growth for a so-called villain. And watching Gon delve into darkness and near death, while Mereum saw the light and humanity...flawless.

I loved the Hunter Exam arc, they were all so cute and innocent back then. I disliked the Greed Island because I found it boring as heck and plus there was no Kurapika :(

12:07 two things, first, and I know this was on accident, but you said kurapika instead of killua tore a heart out of dude's chest...
But secondly, I didn't notice this until my 3rd or 4th viewing... Killua doesn't put the dude's heart in a bag at all. It's just the piece of torn shirt from when he reached in to grab it. If you look, the "bag" is the exact same color as his shirt or poncho.
Honestly, that kind of attention to detail and masterclass world building is just one of the few reasons I fell in love with this show.

@17:10 1 thing I noticed u said wrong was that Hisoka started killing the Spiders before his battle with Chrollo which isn't true. He only started to kill them when he realized that they supplied him with their abilities and was a way to attack his emotions and make them seek him out at his advantage. Hisoka killed Shalnark first becuz of the receiver ability he loaned Chrollo then killed the 2nd one becuz of the Another ability.
Hisoka also was able to fight Chrollo as a reward for finding the exorcist that helped get Chrollos nen back after getting it sealed by Kuripika in York New city

I believe the chimera ant arc needed to be long for setup to have one the most amazing payoff i seen in an arc and it's hard remove anything in this arc (maybe the phantom troupe stuff but i love that intermission)

i dont care that Greed Island is one of the big three of the anime (for me PERSONALLY) Succession Contest already blows it out of the water BY FAR. Yorknew and Chimera Ant are still at the top but Succession is very close for me.

Now that's probably an effect of me actually enjoying the infodumping in Succession Contest (one of the reasons i also like jjk) and Tserriednich is a STELLAR antagonist, arguably the best in the series (or at least up there with Meruem). More Kurapika is always welcome and we will (assuming it gets continued) finally get to see more of Ging.
I agree that an arc can't be truly judged until its done but i believe in Togashi's skills as a storyteller to make this arc at least top 3 in the series even if he needs to wrap it up fast. So yeah, mostly agree with the entire list EXCEPT Greed Island and Succession Contest, would personally swap the two

I knew of Meruem before watching the arc but seeing how we got to Meruem was a out of this world experience
