I’m not joking when I say this song is so emotional it feels like it would play in a movie… dozens of old robots singing in an old abandoned factory about their purpose and how they will work for their creators who abandoned them…and at the end they sound doubtful of themselves

Everyone’s talking about BEST FRIENDS FOREVER but Meltdown is my favorite song introduced in the Bytes package and my favorite in the entire package. Been waiting for the standalone song, and it’s finally here!

Obviously area themes aren’t as flashy as fight themes, but I always love when the chorus gets to shine, and Meltdown is an awesome song to give lyrics.

This cover is so good and kind of... sad? Something about the robotic voices distorting overtime, reflecting their old, abandoned state, as well as the line "Tomorrow means the surface" and "Tomorrow is our purpose" blending together to create the distorted "Our tomorrow?", really gets to me. Like the robots don't know what their tomorrow is. What their future is. They replay the distorted mantra of their long-gone company, because they don't even realise that it's gone. Stuck in an endless cycle of working for a facility completely abandoned. While they themselves are forgotten. That's really sad stuff, and this song conveys that really well. Meltdown is one of my favourite songs in the Undertale Yellow OST, and I'm really glad it was given JUSTICE in this cover!

Man I still love that beginning part with the lyrical syllables being triplets, because it hits SO HARD.

The rest of this song is so good too. You get the feeling that these robots don’t have much purpose other than to serve their creators, and as their working place slowly crumbles around them, and their own bodies starting to rust, they just keep on going.

The first time I played Yellow, I spared Martlet and went into the Dunes, expecting the same Waterfall I had came to know.
To say the least, I was shocked. And then, whenever I reached Steamworks, I instantly fell in love with it. The funny writing and bits of animation with Axis, the cool aesthetic, the BANGER music, I absolutely loved this part of the game and love this cover!
